Three separate and independent calculations for the extra annual cost to maintain the Roman Catholic separate school system were made in 2012 and 2013. Incredibly, all three calculations came up with roughly the same dollar figure. These extra dollars represent a “head tax” of $141 for every taxpayer in the province to pay for the separate system — a payment for the “privilege” of living in the province of Ontario.
